Great gift idea for readers!

I've been so busy creating necklaces and earrings that I have neglected a much loved accessory that I offer - handbeaded bookmarks. I get such a kick out of creating these and never tire of color combinations.

Obviously I have the beach on my brain because all I can think about is going to the beach with a great book and using one of my colorful bookmarks. Check out these that make a wonderful gift for your favorite beach addict. A
blue glass flip flop charm dangles from one end for a bit of whimsy. On the other purple and green bookmark, a sterling silver adirondack chair hangs from one end.

Don't forget teachers - these one of a kind beaded bookmarks make a wonderful gift choice for end of the year teacher's gifts. The two bookmarks at the right are colorful and useful gifts starting at $16.

New designs!

I love jasper gemstones, they come in many different colors and are affordable. The strawberry jasper round gemstones are featured in this new necklace and earring set. Soft pink swirled with creamy white makes it 'strawberry" and these stones are paired with pale pink freshwater pearls in a contemporary shape. The generous 24" length of the necklace makes it versatile enough to wrap around your wrist 3 times for a gorgeous bracelet.

This set makes me think of my Mom, I can picture her wearing it over a crisp white blouse under a tailored grey suit. Pink and grey make a stunning color combination, especially in the boardroom.

My mother in law, on the other hand could be seen sporting this two strand necklace to compliment one of her beautifully tailored denim jackets and skirts.

Whatever evokes memories of our mothers, relish them. Take time to think of them and how they have touched our lives.

March in the South

Easter is arriving early this year, or so says everyone I talk to. So looking forward to dying eggs and decorating cookies with the kids.

The Bradford pears are beginning to bloom in Atlanta and tulips are popping up everywhere. The weather should cooperate for a nice Spring weekend. Atlanta deserves it after last weekends' storms that caused plenty of damage to the downtown area. Bizarre weather we've been having, but that's March in the south.

Mother's Day is just around the corner and I have been busy creating new designs with mothers in mind. Not just your mother's mother, but every mother, the young and older ones. When I think of my mom and mother-in-law, I always think young, hip ladies. My mom has always been young - just 20 years older than me. She's always been career oriented and a strong individual. Early memories have my mom in cool dresses and fancy business suits. Women always admired my mom's style of dress and accessories. Men always admired her looks.

My mother-in-law always looks so stylish, pulled together with her clothes and accessories. A tad on the preppy side, or should I say casual chic conservative. Yeah, I like that term. Anyway, I've been designing jewelry that would look stunning on each of them and their distinct personalities.

I will finish these "mother's day" treasures and post them soon. Keep reading and have a wonderful day.

Neutrals

When I think of neutral as a color, I think black, grey, brown, white, cream, khaki. Believe me, I get it. I love wearing neutral colored clothes, they're so easy!

But some would say (not me, mind you) neutral is well, blah........I think not! At Dee-Zigns, my newest "neutrals" are anything but blah. Check 'em out.

Some of these are on the website, the others I will have up by tomorrow. Remember Easter is 10 days away!
