March in the South

Easter is arriving early this year, or so says everyone I talk to. So looking forward to dying eggs and decorating cookies with the kids.

The Bradford pears are beginning to bloom in Atlanta and tulips are popping up everywhere. The weather should cooperate for a nice Spring weekend. Atlanta deserves it after last weekends' storms that caused plenty of damage to the downtown area. Bizarre weather we've been having, but that's March in the south.

Mother's Day is just around the corner and I have been busy creating new designs with mothers in mind. Not just your mother's mother, but every mother, the young and older ones. When I think of my mom and mother-in-law, I always think young, hip ladies. My mom has always been young - just 20 years older than me. She's always been career oriented and a strong individual. Early memories have my mom in cool dresses and fancy business suits. Women always admired my mom's style of dress and accessories. Men always admired her looks.

My mother-in-law always looks so stylish, pulled together with her clothes and accessories. A tad on the preppy side, or should I say casual chic conservative. Yeah, I like that term. Anyway, I've been designing jewelry that would look stunning on each of them and their distinct personalities.

I will finish these "mother's day" treasures and post them soon. Keep reading and have a wonderful day.
